Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mr. George Edward Beatty, age 71, of 618 South Main Street in Roxboro, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

George Beatty is survived by four children – Terrance Beatty, Travis Beatty, James Beatty, and Sheila Wade. He is also survived by his sister Pecolia Beatty of Roxboro, North Carolina and three brothers – Howard Beatty of Augusta, Georgia; Nebraska Beatty of Detroit Michigan and Ernest Johnson of Roxboro, North Carolina. George Beatty is also survived by five grandchildren and a host of additional relatives and friends.
