Mrs. Roxanna Williams Smith, age 70, departed this life and entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro.
She was born in Person County to the union of the late Thomas Roy Williams and the late Lillie Mae Williams. She was proudly employed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill until her health declined. However, she remained a dedicated Tarheels Fan.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Smith, Jr.; sisters Ollie Ramsey and Elma Williams; and brother Harold “Mook” Williams.
Mrs. Roxanna Williams Smith leaves to cherish her memory her son Ralph “Lamont” Smith and daughter Roxanna “Levonya” Miller (Tyson); ten grandchildren: Sianne Smith, Hawaii White, Narryian Miller, Tymaiah Miller, Treysaun Miller, Sawayaii Miller, Terrari Miller, Adore Smith, Layla Smith and Nikole Johnson; one great-grandchild; siblings: Janie Williams and Madeline Williams, both of Roxboro; Arlene Royster (Willie) of Leasburg, North Carolina; Annie Madojemu (John) of Portsmouth, Virginia; and Thelma Ellis and Roy Williams (Carolyn), all of Washington, DC.; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
