Mr. William Ivory Bailey, Jr., affectionately known as “Bug”, age 58, departed his Earthly life and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
William was born in Washington, DC. He made his home in Roxboro, North Carolina where he became an avid farmer and chef.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Ivory Bailey, Sr. and Mary Ruth Sanford Bailey Walker; and two brothers William Leon Scoggins and Felix Eugene Bailey, Sr.
Mr. William Ivory Bailey, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Wilma Sanford (Mark), Ursula Bailey Wilson (James) and Letisha Sanford – all of Roxboro, North Carolina; brothers: Christopher Charles Bailey (Mya) of the Bethel Hill Community; Barry Dean Scoggins (Marion) of Roxboro, North Carolina; special aunt Evelena Sanford of Roxboro, North Carolina; special uncle Abraham Sanford, Sr. of Semora, North Carolina; two special nieces: Joline Bumphus of Yanceyville, North Carolina and Destiney Andrews of Roxboro, North Carolina; special nephew Marcus Lendale Sanford of Roxboro, North Carolina; special friend that he farmed with for more than twenty years – Donnie Clayton; and numerous loving additional relatives and friends.
