Mrs. Catherine Pettiford Williams, age 80, departed her earthly life and entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina. She was a native of Person County, born on April 6, 1944 to the union of the late Arthur Pettiford and the late Hattie Cleamons Pettiford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Tonya D. Lowe and son Shelton Williams.
Mrs. Catherine Pettiford Williams leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Jerry H. Williams of the home; four sons Jerry D. Williams (wife Lisa); Kevin Williams (wife Jessica); Kent Williams (wife Tammy); and Durell Williams (wife Michelle), all of Roxboro, North Carolina; sisters-in-law Nannie Lester, Mattie Banks and Norma Jean Pettiford, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; brothers-in-law Barry Williams (wife Cynthia) of Semora, North Carolina and Frank Newman, Sr. (wife Phyllis) of Roxboro, North Carolina; special nieces Lisa Bumphus, Sophia Williams and Everlene Pettiford; very special cousin Tiny Allen Williams; and a host of additional loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, additional relatives and friends.
