​Minister Jeanette McGhee Bailey, age 59, entered eternal rest on March 29, 2022 at Duke University Hospital  in Durham, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nathaniel Mack Hawley and Virginia Ann McGhee Hawley.

Minister Jeanette McGhee Bailey is survived by her husband John Bailey of the home; three daughters Jenne Melvin (Marcus) of Durham, North Carolina; Jazmin Gonzales of Alabama; and Shavonne Bailey of Durham, North Carolina; six sons Michael Hawley of Durham, North Carolina; Daniel Earl Bailey (Sabrina) of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina; John Bailey, Jr. of Caswell County, North Carolina; Joshua Smith Bailey of Georgia; and Keton Bailey and Marquis Bailey, both of the home; three sisters Lisa Hawley of Durham, North Carolina; Rita Cooper (Terry) of Oxford, North Carolina; and Ann Hawley Crudup (Thomas) of Rougemont, North Carolina; two brothers Doug Hawley of Maryland and Michael Hawley (Donna) of Hurdle Mills: sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one great God-granddaughter; one great God-grandson; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
