Mrs. Oveda Naomi Hunter, age 86, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
She was the daughter of the late Willie (Bill) Anderson Williams, Sr. and the late Mary Whitt Williams. Mrs. Hunter was a native of Roxboro, North Carolina, however she made her home in Asheville, North Carolina from 1964 until she returned to Roxboro in 2016. She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Hunter and siblings: Willie Williams, Jr., Marie Williams, Mertis Geraldine Williams Calderone, her twin Myrtle Irene Williams Carrington, Grady Donald Williams, Ozell Williams Flowers, Geneva Williams Womble, Pearl Mae Williams, Virginia Williams Lunsford and Bobbie Jean Williams.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by one son David E. Hunter of Morganton, North Carolina; one brother Wallace Williams (wife Jeanette) of Roxboro, North Carolina; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
