Mrs. Dianne Reed Taborn, age 67, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She was a native of Person County, born to the union of the late Jessie Louis Wade, Sr. and Laura Link Wade.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sons Sanford Reed, Jr., Tyrone Reed and Brandon Reed; and two brothers James A. “Pete” Wade and Jessie Louis Wade, Jr.
In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband Sylvester Taborn; four daughters Tasha Hamlette, April Duston (huband Niko), LaDonna Reed and LeAnne Taborn; five sons Daryl Reed, Aaron Taborn, Markee Taborn, Deonta Taborn and Anthony Taborn; five sisters Linda Johnson, Regina Richardson, Carrie Downey, Laverne Wade and Ann Wade; brother Cecil Bernard Wade; mother-in-law and father-in-law Deloris and Will Smith; three sisters-in-law Joyce Smith, Leona Smith and Angela Smith; seven brothers-in-law Will Smith, Jr., Willie Smith, Jerome Smith, Marcellus Smith, Prince Smith, Tony Smith and Marvin Smith; best friend Dorothy Allen; eight special ladies that she treated like daughters; fifty-two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous loving additional nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
